    Hello,

Are you going to publish more information about the Trail Less Traveled race, like a map of the run, elevation, etc? I am very interested in the race and would like to encourage other’s to join me, but need to know what I am promoting.

Thanks and have a great day.

Does any of the money go to charity? I am putting together my 2012 race series and I am making sure that I only run in runs that helps others.

    • admin November 17, 2011 at 7:10 pm #

Hi, Kristine. Thanks for contacting us. Yes, we donate a portion of our proceeds from all of our events to a local charity. Last year the Trail Less Traveled beneficiary was The Hope Center in Oroville and we are hoping to work with them again this year. As soon as we have a charity confirmed we will announce it. Please let us know if you have additional questions. Happy Training, Nikki

This is going to my first 5K. What is the difference between a regular shirt and a technical shirt? Sorry that may be a weird question, but I just wanted to know before I registered. Thanks!

    • admin March 14, 2012 at 2:14 pm #

A very valid question, Alisa, and congratulations on registering for your first 5k! A technical shirt is a moisture wicking running shirt. The cotton shirts get very heavy when they absorb sweat and hold on to that moisture for a long time. The tech shirts allow the sweat to pass through the fabric and evaporate quickly. You’ll quickly notice the difference the first time you wear a technical shirt. I hope that helps and we’ll see you on the 1st!

Are we still running if it rains? We’re stoked if this turns into a mud run!

    • admin March 27, 2012 at 12:41 pm #

Of course we’re running if it rains! Muddy trails, here we come!

      • Chase March 27, 2012 at 12:42 pm #

  7. Dana Miller March 29, 2012 at 9:41 am #

Ran the trail yesterday, not “too” muddy but that could change….Will there be mileposts at each mile? It should be fun…..It WILL be fun!!

    • admin March 30, 2012 at 9:03 am #

Hi Dana, with a full day of rain tomorrow, who knows what we’ll have on Sunday! Should be fun! We will have mile markers on both courses.
