Our 2017 beneficiary will once again be Chico Homeless Animal Outreach! Chicoanimaloutreachlogo-sm

From their website: Chico Homeless Animal Outreach (C.H.A.O.) was started in 2013. We both have deep roots in Chico and recognize the need for outreach to the pet-owning segment of the homeless community. Local veterinarian, Valerie Caruso, is our third Board member. She has been independently holding free clinics at the Jesus Center for more than four years. All of us are deeply committed to providing food and water, medical care, and (when necessary) shelter to the companion animals of homeless people.

We all have a lifelong love of animals and feel strongly that they must not be allowed to suffer. We have seen that, though there are many services and programs available to homeless people, their animals do not have the same opportunities, and they have no voice. We are committed to providing that voice.

Timing and Finish Line

Disposable bib chip timing will provided by Under the Sun Events!  The finish line will close at 11:00 a.m.  Anyone finishing after that time will not be guaranteed an official time.

I have a couple of questions. Will the results be listed on your website? I saw some photographers taking pictures at the finish line. Will those photos be on the website also?
    Thank you,
    Donna Scheel

A friend and I are thinking about bringing our dogs on Saturday? Is this a dog friendly event? They are well behaved. 🙂 Thanks!

    • admin January 22, 2014 at 1:28 pm #

Hi! I’m sure they are fabulous dogs but we are expecting a big crowd this year and are discouraging even the friendliest of our four-legged friends. Thank you for asking!

    Will there be finisher medals?

    • admin December 15, 2014 at 7:10 pm #

Yes, we will have custom finisher’s medals for the 10-Mile.

      • Lynn December 15, 2014 at 7:12 pm #

        but not for the 1/4?

        • admin December 15, 2014 at 7:15 pm #

No, not for the quarter. Custom medals are quite expensive and, in an effort to keep entry fees low, we reserve finisher’s medals for 10-miles and longer.

Awesome, thanks for the update 😀

I represent Eventec Apparel. I have recently begun to reach out to more local event hosts in the U.S. and stumbled upon your race page. I would like to inquire as to whether you have apparel needs met for the season, hold a standing contract with a vendor, or if we might be able to help out with shirts. Feel free to contact me anytime.

    • admin January 6, 2017 at 10:35 am #

Hi, Kylie. Thanks for the note. We are really happy with our local vendor.

Hello, we are a local Air Force recruiter in Chico. Is there a way we can just set up a mini-booth that has goodies and literature placed for anybody who wants info voluntarily. We are also participating in the run as well 🙂 Any help will be greatly appreciated.
