PARADISE TRAIL RUNS
4-Mile, 9-Mile & 1-Mile
The Paradise Trail Run is a trail race that is run on the shores of Paradise Lake.
The race offers 3 distances. There is a free and untimed 1 mile run. There is a 4 mile run and there is a 9 mile run. All runs are an out and back format on the trail around the lake. This means that you run out and back on the same trail. The turnaround points for the different distances are at half the full distance. The 1 mile run goes out a half mile and turns around and comes back. The 4 mile goes out 2 miles and comes back. The 9 miler goes out 4.5 miles and turns around and comes back. The start and finish lines are the same, typically called a common start/finish. This allows you to see all of the runners in the race with you at some point during the event. There are aid stations at each of the turnaround points.
There is minimal elevation gain over the course as it is mostly flat as it runs around the shore of the lake. The race is typically run in September or October each year. The footing on the trail is relatively benign and the trail is fairly wide allowing for the outbound and inbound runners to pass each other safely.
